St. Augustine sets its own visual bar. Henry Flagler’s architects reshaped the city with Spanish Renaissance Revival and Moorish Revival hotels, and the 1888 Hotel Ponce de Leon still stands at the center of town as Flagler College. A short walk away, the Castillo de San Marcos shows what coquina looks like after more than three centuries. A new brand here is always read against that backdrop, so I design marks and palettes that feel considered beside it instead of borrowing its costume.
The city’s rules shape the streetscape too. Most work in St. Augustine’s five historic preservation districts needs a Certificate of Appropriateness, reviewed against written architectural guidelines, and King Street, San Marco Avenue and Anastasia Boulevard follow their own entry corridor standards. That setting rewards a logo suite that reads well in one color, at small sizes and in restrained materials. I design every identity to work that way, so your sign maker, printer and web developer all start from the same clean files.

Identity systems for St. Augustine brands that must hold their own beside more than 450 years of history.
It depends on how many places your brand has to appear. A new St. Augustine business with one shopfront and a social account can start well with the Starter Brand Kit: logo concepts, a palette, a type pairing and a basic guide. A growing business with packaging, a website and staff producing content usually needs the Brand Identity Suite or the Full Brand System, so every touchpoint has rules to follow.
It depends on the package. For a St. Augustine business, as for any client, the Starter Brand Kit runs 1 to 2 weeks, the Brand Identity Suite 3 to 4 weeks, and the Full Brand System 5 to 7 weeks. Feedback that comes back promptly at each stage keeps a project inside its range, and reviewing by email makes that easier for owners who spend their days with customers.
That is exactly what I test for. A St. Augustine brand might appear on a hanging sign, a printed menu, a coffee cup, a T-shirt and a phone screen in the same afternoon. I design the logo suite with a primary mark, a secondary version and a submark that holds at favicon size, then check each one in one color and on dark backgrounds before you see final files.
Yes. Plenty of St. Augustine businesses have a name and a mark that customers already recognize, and throwing that away can cost more than it saves. I start by reviewing what is working, keep the parts worth keeping, and rebuild the system around them: cleaner files, a defined palette, a type hierarchy and guidelines your team can actually follow.
Yes. Packaging sits alongside logo and identity design in my work, and food and beverage is one of the industries I have designed for. The St. Augustine visitor bureau points travelers toward local breweries, wineries and distilleries, and products like those have to stand out on a crowded shelf. I design labels that carry the identity and still read clearly at arm’s length.
You receive a ready-to-use identity: the logo suite, color palette, typography, the guidelines that fit your package, and production-ready files for print, screen, packaging and social. For a St. Augustine business that works with outside printers, sign makers or a web developer, those files mean nobody has to guess, and your brand stays consistent long after I hand it over.
Tell me a little about your brand and your goals. I'll get back to you to talk through how we can work together.
